  • Why is taking a vegan Omega 3 supplement so important?

  • Why is your omega 3 supplement vegan?

    Our supplement is a vegan Omega 3 oil as it is proven to be a purer source of Omega 3, containing no contaminants associated with sourcing Omega 3 from the ocean. Our Omega 3 oil is derived from algae, and is grown in a controlled environment. It is also sustainable as we are not depleting any fish resources.

  • Why is your algae-derived Omega 3 a preferred sourced for vegans?

    ALA is usually found in plant sources like kidney beans, walnuts, flax, chia and hemp seeds but the conversion to the highly beneficial DHA and EPA is usually quite low. Our algae oil has both forms of DHA and EPA.

  • Is algae a better source of Omega 3 than fish? Is it as potent?

    By using algae for our Omega 3, we are actually going to the source of the Omega 3 ‘food chain’. Fish only contain Omega 3 because they eat algae. When you look at the composition of both algae and fish, you’ll see that algae contains over 18% Omega 3 compared to the less than 3% found in most fish.

  • Is your vegan Omega 3 supplement sustainable?

    Yes, it is sustainable as we are not depleting any fish or ocean resources. Our Omega 3 is derived from algae and is grown in a controlled environment.

  • Why is Algae (grown in a controlled environment) considered a cleaner source of Omega 3 than fish sources?

    Over the course of many centuries, we have heavily polluted our oceans, rivers and lakes. Our oceans now contain a significant amount of pollution in the form of PCBs, heavy metals, herbicides and pesticides to name a few. These contaminants then find their way into the inhabitants of the sea, namely fish. When fish are processed to obtain their oils, other chemicals are usually required to remove the contaminants. Algae, grown in a controlled environment has zero contact with pollution. As a result, we are proud to say our Brain & Heart Maintain has no trace pollutants or heavy metals and it’s 100% sustainable.

  • Does your vegan Omega 3 supplement have any nasty smell, taste of reflux usually associated with fish-sourced Omega 3?

    None at all! We use a patented process to ensure our Omega 3 is taste, scent and reflux free.

  • What makes your Vegan Omega 3 so unique?

    Hello Day’s vegan Omega-3 comes from microalgae (Schizochytrium sp. strain) which is a very sustainable source of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Our Omega 3 incorporates a patented method called Quality Silver for optimising the oil’s quality and shelf life. This is a synergistic antioxidant blend that lowers the risk of oxidation, providing an oil with very high stability. The formulation of our vegan Omega 3 uses a unique scientific approach called the Sensory Panel, which has enabled us to create a concentrated omega 3 without bad odours or an aftertaste. The microalgae we use in our vegan Omega 3 undergoes fermentation in a closed bioreactor which is a 100% controlled environment. This means we can confidently state that our vegan Omega 3 is free of dioxins, PCBs and heavy metals.

  • Is VEGAN OMEGA 3 the same as BRAIN & HEART MAINTAIN?

    Yes, it’s EXACTLY the same product with a new name. No other changes. The new name took effect in Sept 2022.

I have been using Hello Day supplements for about a year now and have settled on two products as an absolute must have. Beauty boost and Brain and Heart Maintain. Brain and Heart Maintain has worked really well alongside my prescribed medications and has helped manage my ADHD, without the need for stronger prescriptions from my GP. Again, I have made lifestyle changes, but I do notice when I haven't taken these little gems. I always watch the live sessions with the nutritionist, Lily Souter, who is the Hello Day nutritional therapist and she very clearly shows what products do and how to use them as a lifestyle choice. I really like Hello Day, they are a very gentle company, not pushy and although it's not cheap, I personally believe the products I have chosen are worth it.

I have seacrhed a very long time to find a omega oil like yours. Normally I suffer with reflux, so fish oils were awful. This is much better. I still find there's a little reflux, but nothing compared to what I suffered before.

I really appreciated your help with this product. Your customer service guy took a lot of time explaining the algae oil, sustainability, etc. Thank you! I've been taking it for 2 weeks now and i love that its not fishy in anyway. Or it doesn't taste of the sea, as I know its not fish.

This product is so good! Its the first time I've ever taken an omega oil product and not had an awful fishy after taste. Then I realised its a plant based version. I didn't realise this at the time of purchase but read it on your site when I got my refill. Its more than I would normally spend, but its worth it not to have the fishy taste.

Can't have fish oils as they smell and are most of the time quite unethical towards marine life. Found this one recently and I love it, no smell, easy to take, and also packed in a blister pack so each gel is protected individually. that's a good life insurance product!
